With your help, the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA) is leading the fight for justice for survivors of sexual violence, accountability for all offenders, and protection for the general public. MCASA accomplishes these goals through advocacy, education, technical assistance, and community outreach. How much would you give to end sexual violence in Maryland? Become a member of MCASA or renew your membership today.

MCASA has adopted a new membership policy to help encourage people working with sexual assault survivors to join MCASA. A regular membership for individuals will continue to be $50.00; however a new category of “supporting member” will be $20.00.

Supporting members will receive MCASA’s newsletter, Frontline, by email, and be eligible for other membership benefits, including participating in the “E-lert” public-policy advocacy system.

Sexual Assault Forensic Nurse Examiner (Adult/Adolescent Curriculum) Training Program

Where: Easton Hampton Inn, Easton, MD
When: August 11 – 15, 2008

This training seminar has been specifically designed for Registered Nurses interested in becoming Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNEs). Those who wish to practice as FNEs in Maryland must be an RN with at least 18 months experience and attend the entire seminar to be eligible for Maryland certification. The training is based on a multi-disciplinary approach; therefore, advocates, law enforcement, and other allied professionals are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Tuition and Costs: $400 includes 5 full days, 40 CNE contact hours, course handouts/materials, and textbooks.
