Trauma Informed Services & Resources for Human Trafficking Survivors

Join us on September 26th for a webinar on serving survivors of human trafficking. This panel discussion will feature three incredible speakers all working in the anti-trafficking sphere: Dr. Beth Bowman, Assistant Professor of Social Work Gallaudet University, CEO Restoring Ivy Collective; Liz Kimbel, Maryland Regional Director, Restoring Ivy Collective; and Jewell Copeland, MSW, Baltimore City Human Trafficking Regional Navigator, Center for Hope Anti Trafficking and Exploitation Program Supervisor.

With the upcoming October 1st enactment of the Safe Harbor Bill, this webinar will look back at the history of the Safe Harbor legislation and look forward at what this new law provides. Safe Harbor is a law that will provide protection for children survivors of trafficking. It, among other things, protects child survivors from being prosecuted for certain crimes that are a direct result of the trafficking.

We will also explore each of the panelists’ professional experiences working with different populations of trafficking survivors. The panelists will discuss the resources they use and the trauma informed approaches they employ in their work. This webinar will engage with advocates and professionals working in this sphere and provide them with practical insights, tools, and advice.
